ulopor slate flakes are produced from naturally occurring slate, through crushing, drying, sifting and a specific treatment.
The slate, which was demolished in Thuringia, was formed in the Lower Carboniferous. It is won in open-cast mining in Unterloquitz and broken into different grits.
